We make this invariably once a month...and as per DH we end up fighting after this...reason being I spend a lot of time cooking (and clicking) which keeps him away from the food. He may be right, I am not yet tired of trying recipes from the Italian land.
I was based in Milan for few months and learnt some pasta dishes and the nuances of italian cooking through some friends I made there..it has changed the perspective of looking at pizza and pasta since then...
For today's meal....I made a few varieties of pasta and pizza and served along with garlic bread and chilly oil . We ended the meal with Lemon Shorbet which is found on streets of Italy in the carts similar to what we have in India for kulfis or icecreams.

Recipe Heat the Olive Oil until it is warm and is just about to smoke. This may take longer time. Once done switch off the gas and set aside. Break open a few kashmiri red chillies and drop them in the bowl. I also added a crush garlic clove for flavor. Cover and let it absorb the color and flavors for atleast 4 hours. Pour in a sterilised container and use with your pastas. pizzas and bread as topping
I wanted to add a few grilled vegetables to the spread but the course would have been too large for my small family but if you are planning a meal, then suggest you add a few grilled zucchinis. capsicums, tomatoes and eggplants sprinkled with italian seasonings and also add another dessert like a tiramisu
