German Meal

Blogging marathon # 44 - Next halt - Germany

I visited the beautiful Cologne city in Germany which is probably not the entire picture of how german culture is...much like India...one cannot visit Rajasthan or Tamilnadu or Maharashtra and say I visited India ...so I can make their cuisine or the people out there prefer vegetarian meal or are more rice eaters ...it is the same for Germany.

A few things that tie the country together is their love for sausages known as hot dogs in the Americas and frankfurters , bratwurst or hamburgers.

Back in India the major thing popular which could be tagged back to Germany is the Blackforest Cake

I pulled together a simple meal based on my son's request list. He has picked fancy for hot dogs from his favorite cartoon Oggy who loves eating them.

Today's meal consists of vegetarian sausages in long dinner rolls, accompanied with sauteed vegetables, soft pretzels and deconstructed black forest cake.

Awesome meal! Nice choice of recipes. The black Forrest cake is so good. And yes we like it when it tastes of dark chocolate. :) Tell your kiddo he picked very good dishes for the meal.
