Xoriatiki - Greek Rustic Salad

It was my quest for recipe starting with X that led me to find this simple yet popular greek style salad. This is so simple and yet so tasty. The brilliance lies in the combination of flavors that pack a punch of all kind of flavors

Ingredients (For 4 servings)
3 medium sized firm tomatoes sliced vertically
1 cucumber peeled and chopped in cubes
1 Capsicum thinly sliced
1 cup feta cheese crumbled
1/4 cup olives
2 tspn capers
Salt to taste
2 tbsp Olive Oil
1 lemon's juice
1 tspn dried oregano
1 tspn crushed black pepper
crushed paprika (optional)

Method
1) Mix the oil, lemon juice ,oregano and black pepper. Whisk it
2) In a salad bowl, mix all the other ingredients and lightly toss
3) Pour the dressing, sprinkle salt .
4) Serve with crisp breads to go along

this salad is served often here at restaurants but it is simply called Greek Salad - nice to learn the original name for it

I saw the same tongue twisting salad in Priya's place too...Great for the letter X, but not so good for our poor tongues to pronounce it!! (Look whose talking..I bet no one can pronounce even the simplest of the Malayalam words! Yet I complain :D)

The salad looks yummy and easy to put together..
