Lauki/Dudhi Kofta Curry/ Bottle Gourd Fritters in Curry

This is hands down, winner recipe for any kind of kofta curry you may have ever ever tasted. Absolute winner.
Pretty easy to make and mouthwatering...now enough of raving, go get your recipe...

This is first of the 3 state curries that I am planning to post...

Ingredients
for kofta
1 medium size Bottle Gourd/ Lauki/ Dudhi
2 tbsp Chickpea flour ? Besan
2 tspn ginger garlic paste
1 tspn green chilli paste
salt to taste
Oil to cook
for curry
3 medium size tomatoes pureed
1 tbsp curd
1 tspn cumin seeds
1 tspn ginger garlic paste
1 tspn turmeric
1 tspn red chilli powder
1 tspn garam masala
1 tspn coriander-cumin powder
1 stick of cinnamon
salt to taste
Method
1) In a bowl mix all the kofta ingredients (except oil). Do not use water and squeeze the grated  lauki to make the batter soft if required
2) Make small balls of this batter and set aside
3) In a deep frying pan, heat oil and then reduce the flame to medium or low
4) Deep fry the koftas until they are golden in color. Remove and drain them on tissue
5) In another pan, heat a tspn of oil.
6) Add the cumin seeds. Let it splutter.
7) Next add the tomato puree, ginger garlic past and saute it until the raw smell goes away
8) Keep stirring until you see oil on the edges of the pan
9) Now add the rest of the ingredients except curd and keep stirring.
10) Add 2 cups of water to curd and mix it well.
11) Add this to the mixture in the pan and let it simmer.
12) Add the fried koftas and let it cook for couple of minutes
13) Garnish with fresh coriander and serve.
