Chokha/ Baingan Bharta (Bihar style)

Baingan bharta is relished across the country with some minor changes in the recipe. Yet I was surprised on the simplicity of this method and the consequence.

You will have to try this version to check the taste , and ofcourse the best accompaniment for this bharta is the ofcourse litti but I often team it up with sattu paratha and it is yumm either ways

For my last dish for this week's blogging marathon week, is Chokha...

Ingredients
1 large egg plant (bhartewaala baingan)
2 large tomatoes
3-4 red chillies
1 tspn oil
salt to taste

Method
1) On direct flame, roast the oil brushed eggplant, tomatoes until they are charred.
2) Peel off the skins and mash the remains
3) Also roast the red chillies on direct flame using pair of tongs.
4) Crush this smoked chillies on the mashed mixture.
5) Add salt to taste
6) Serve with chopped coriander for garnishing
