Tutti Fruti Bread

You might remember the sweet soft bread available along with the regular white bread(wibs brand) which sometimes came along home. The bread was slightly sweet so was never used for sandwiches yet not sweet enough to have on its own.
All the people I knew back then used to dip it in their morning cup of tea and savor it. Recently husband mentioned about it and said to me as a young kid he loved to pick the tutti frutis out of the bread and give the remaining bread piece to his dad who happily dunked it in his tea. Isn't it something we all did at some point in time.
I had to give that experience to my son. I searched for the recipe but was lost between tutti fruti cake recipes. Even the bread recipes used baking flour.
A friend of mine passed on this recipe she has tried a couple of times. She did not mention the exact quantities but just gave me the key ingredients

Ingredients
2 1/2 cups Cake flour / APF + 1 tspn baking powder
1 1/2 cups + 2 tbsp warm milk
2 tspn active dry yeast
3 tbsp sugar
1 cup melted butter or Oil
1/2 cup tutti fruti(candied fruit)
Method
1)Prepare the yeast as per the instructions on your pack
2) Mix the flour, yeast together and set aside
3) Warm the milk. Add the sugar and oil to it and beat well until it is mixed.
4) Make a well in the flour and start adding the milk mixture little at a time.
5)Start kneading the dough until it has absorbed all the milk and oil and becomes sticky batter.
6)Keep kneading for 5-10 min.
7)Set it aside for 20-30 min to double up in size(will depend on your yeast)
8)Grease the bread tin with butter.
9)Place the dough in it and cover it for 10-20 min till it has doubled to desired height.
10) The quantity is less for 500 gm loaf tin, but the bread needs to be smaller than regular white flour bread size.
11) Bake it for 20-22 min at 180c or until the bread sounds hollow.
12) Just before the last 5 min, brush thye top with more milk.
13) Serve hot with jams, butter, maple syrup or like I had served a full platter for myself.

And one for my chota bheem
