Tutti fruti cookies /eggless candied fruit cookies

DH loves his tutti fruti. He declared this pretty early to me post our marriage. He said if you could make the soft sweet bread or the icecream loaded with them, I would love it. All those tasks are saved for another day. For now I made an attempt to make tutti fruti cookies. These are so simple to make and gorgeous.

Recipe - Adapted from Yummytummyaarthi
Ingredients

1.5 cups - All Purpose Flour / Maida
0.5 cups - Corn Flour / Corn Starch
100 gms - Softened Butter
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tspn Vanilla
1/2 cup Tutti Fruti (dried fruit candies)
2 tbsp warm Milk (optional)
Method
1) Mix the flours and set aside.
2)In a bowl, beat the butter and  sugar until it is creamy
3)Add the vanilla essence, tutti fruti and mix well.
4)Add the flour mixture to the butter and mix in to form a soft dough.
5)Use milk if the dough appears to be dry. It should feel buttery and while kneading your palms would get greasy. This is expected.
6) Wrap the dough in cling film and let it sit in refrigerator for atleast 30 min.
7)Preheat the oven to 180c (mine is fan assisted). You can reduce the temperature.
8)Remove the dough when it is firm and easy to use.
9)Roll out the dough and using a cookie cutter make desired shapes.
10)On a lined baking sheet, place the cookies.
11)Bake them for about 12-15 min. They will be ready when the top starts getting slightly brown in color(faint)
12)Remove on a wire rack and let it cool.
